It’s pretty disrespectful to imply that Incheol could “stop it at anytime” imo. He was penetrated after shaking his head no (which is him NOT giving consent, thus making this rape). A common trauma response to rape is freezing up or even dissociating, both of which would make it impossible for the victim to even attempt to “stop” their perpetrator.
Agree. Maybe this excerpt from Galliano’s research can help a bit. I think it’s still relevant, since so many people have cited this study in recent years too lol. You can check it on scholar as well -> https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/088626093008001008
"However, a substantial number of victims do not resist the attacker in any way. Tonic immobility (TI), a well-known involuntary, reflexive response to fear-inducing stimuli, may aid in explaining the paralysis and “freezing” of many rape victims."
These are thin lines but in my opinion the story still implies him selling his body not him freezing. He thought of his boss' words and kissed pyeongwha. Despite how much he hated it he continued. It's still not that he couldn't stop but he didn't. Fawning mechanism is very common. But this isn't it.

I think calling situations like this rape is disrespectful to the real victims cause even though he didn't enjoy it incheol could stop it at any time. Even pyeongwha said "you make it sound like im forcing you into this." So i wish people would stop throwing the word rape around carelessly.
