yeah reading the comments i get the “let’s put our thinking caps on” because idk WHY people love to choose sides, i mean it’s not even necessary but it always happens (ex: litc & np).
it’s not just miscommunication, because they are communicating their feelings veeeery well (ig at some point); the circumstances of their little fight involves their environment and relationships w others (family&friends&school) sooo i agree that the author is fantastic in doing so!! (=・ω・=) they both r at fault yes probably but its OKAY, let’s stop demonizing them just because the story stops being all lovey-dovey for a few chapters…. what they have carried from before (traumas, insecurities, ISSUES) is realistic, the breakup arc is actually accurate w -the- diff situations. they will talk it out at some point. chill.
