I think looking back, the ending of this manhwa makes me even more upset than it initially did. Specifically, because there was an entire arc where they worked out the not often mention issue of pressure in BDSM. You can pay lip service to it by saying “it’s all about what the sub wants” but the insecurity to let the dom go as hard as they can is a real thing. If unaddressed it can be detrimental to ones relationship and unsafe in general. So, seeing that actually acknowledged to the point of stopping play was great. After so many misunderstandings it was a breath of fresh air for the story.
But that ending regressed everything they worked towards. There was genuinely no reason for the ending for it to be this bad when a cute ending would’ve sufficed. What WAS the point of emotional investment if it all just flipped on a dime and ruined their dynamic? I said before but it all feels rushed, like they needed to pump out an ending without time to unpack the final event. The ending is a tragedy from what was one of my favourite manhwas. unnnnhhgggg I just wanna carve that ending out like the black part of a potato.
