he's saying royals are the worst yet here he is treating her like a doll too (yes I do think the prince is also on some bull thinking this is a romance). He knew all that info about her being a maid but went to the prince first and not her, crazy. it's not like she's hiding and they are guests so why not go to her and hear how she is first. Mind you I'm still the #1 prince hater so at no point do I think she's in a better place. Had he truly cared before he fell in love she'd be living a peaceful life in a random village with some gold to keep her afloat while she finally does what she wishes.
