I think the author is feeding the old fans through Hye-sung by continuing his story of the continued rocky relation with his mother, but also snippets of how Dojin and Hye-sung are as older parents (they're solo cute, Hahaha)
Although I do agree that there needs to be better structure, like 1-3 whole chapters on the first generation in between the rest of the chapters on Byuls story
genuinely idk what direction the author wants at this point, we focused on byul's mom trauma in one chapter then the next chapter was byul thinking about his first kiss now were gon get a misunderstanding, LIKE MAKE UP YOUR MIND, give atleast one plot thread time to actually develop
