Aside from it being needlessly longer than it should've been, the story is fine. FL gets her revenge and finds love and has her daughter back, plus a new (adopted) daughter. While there are moments that were a little long, there are other moments that I wish were longer. The ends for some characters just felt cheap, and while I understand the theme for it, it just counts as an easy end for the character. (Also you're telling me the duke took care of a random unconscious woman for 5 years just because she was sick like his granddaughter?? Ok )
There IS however, a special dynamic between the 3 seperate step-siblings that refreshing. They don't mindlessly hate each other, and have quips that differentiates their relationship from the other pair. And I really feel the young daughters and the princes 'would've been a great comparison if their dynamics were given more attention, considering their situations are very similiar, but their responses are different!
If I have the ages of the children correct (oldest being 5-6 and the youngest being 5-4) then its another author that doesn't know how to write children, because these two were written as if they were older than their actual ages. ((There was that 5 year timeskip, unless there was another one after that I'm forgetting but even so the kids wouldn't be that much older)) [[incorrectly written children is one of my personal pet peeves ]]
Overall: an ok story!! It was a fun easy read, and the step siblings dynamic was great! :]
