All that character development and for what?
Just to tell Dan that he has been holding himself back from pouncing on him, while we thought he has actually become a decent person and started thinking of sex less. Treating Dan well during sex is not gonna paint a got good picture of Jaekyung for me. He's still a jerk who only thinks about himself.
What the author could have done is make Jaekyung search for better alternatives for his "jinx" during the period he was treating Dan. When Dan would have gone to Jaekyung's room today, Jaekyung could have just offered him food and told him that he'll try to win this time without thinking about his "jinx" and Dan could have been the one to initiate sex this time or they simply could have built up a bit of romance and had sex a few chapters later.
If his jinx goes untreated this entire manhwa it'd just be a shallow way to build a relationship between them because it's purely transactional.
On the other hand Jaekyung is a pretty relaistic depiction of guys irl. Maximum men never empathize, they just pretent to, to get what they want from someone. Just like our lad Jaekyung here.
