Bruh who are you explaining? Most of them are minors and i doubt they even know what "media literacy" is. I got harassed and told to kill myself simply for questioning their morals as according to them jaekyung never raped dan and dan had a choice of walking away, this comment section is the peak epitome of what illeteracy and degeneracy looks like. Don't even bother.
But also, part of media literacy is recognising the kind of works you are reading. You cannot hold this work to the same standards as a classical book, when this work at the very start told you what it was, gave us a lot of trigger warnings and to read at your own risk
Of course you can critique it, but keep it real. This work never presented itself as the pinnacle of psychological realistic analysis of humans. You cannot be mad at a pineapple for being a pineapple when it told you from the start it was a pineapple, then you decided to eat it and got disappointed because it wasn’t an apple. (Not you op, but like in general for a lot of readers)
Criticise it for what it is. Recognising what sort of work you are reading and analysing it and critiquing it from there is also Media Literacy.
Not me ,they only told me to kill myself but i saw them telling some other user to get raped.

Yeah The first step is acknowledging that it has romanticized rape and that it should never be normalized. Some readers outright deny that Jaekyung raped Dan, even though the situation was sexual coercion from the very beginning and consent can be withdrawn at any point during intimacy. Dismissing valid critiques as “whining” or “complaining” just to defend a fictional rapist only proves a lack of media literacy. It shows people bending over backwards for a fictional character and taking criticism of that character as a personal attack.
I’ve been on here for 12 years, I feel old… lol. but yes, it’s gotten much worse in the last three years, I haven’t seen anything like it before. Whether it’s positive, whether it’s negative, you lose either way with these ppl. They get overly attached to a fictional character as if it was real… the last time the devs just disabled comments, I wonder if that’s gonna happen again? Despite the loonies, I do enjoy peeking in the comments from time to time.

ik media literacy is declining but let me remind y'all that passing criticism on media is not only necessary for societal progress and maintaining intellectualism; it's also should not be considered 'hating' on the work or author. You can be a big fan of something and still criticise it!
