Actually, I like the premise it my personal opinion it does really work. It might just be the type but that you don’t like that might actually be it. I like the fact that they’re showing us the after of a very basic maybe even a little evil but I don’t know how bad though of the original novels characters and I like how it’s like forced into her life if he was not well known to be realistic. There’s like barely anything that would’ve happened in the book. If that was the case technically, this could’ve gone a different route like I can see it but genuinely it would’ve locked a certain amount of flavor that would’ve been very interesting. I’m also pretty sure if we would’ve been shown these characters later on we would’ve genuinely wondered. I also do think they do suit each other I genuinely do it feels very much so like a very slinky can’t do anything wrong because they’re perfect cat and they’re overworked owner. I think it’s cute and you don’t always have to be perfectly matched with your partner. It’s good to feel a little Lucy goosy.

The main couple don't suit each other... They more suited in a platonic relationship welp thats that ml should've been someone who wasn't a known character in the og novel
