My two cents

Honestly, I don't dislike either of them for this. I do think it's ridiculous to be faulting blondie when literally how was he supposed to know seojoon had a crush on him? He's been his friend for 12 years, he had a crush on his childhood friend, and Seojoon was even helping him out with that. He didn't think of him romantically consciously because
1) he was convinced he had a crush on his childhood friend (and our mc)
2) he was under the impression seojoon thinks of him as a friend
3) seojoon is helping him in his romantic endeavors
4) there has been no hints towards anything different in their relationship
Some people (like me) have their minds literally and consciously block out such possibilities when they are deemed unwanted. You're incapable of going to the "what if" realm because nth hinted towards it and if so there's no reason to entertain the idea at all. The thought simply never comes, unless promoted.

So faulting blondie for this is ridiculous when the reason blondie never tried to process his attachment to Seojoon beyond friendship is the same reason why Seojoon never confessed or hinted: both wanted to maintain this close friendship because it fills their heart. Had Seojoon hinted early on and at the start, this could've been done with (either with rejection or acceptance) but choosing to hide it and act neutral and even help him in his romantic life then blame him for never taking that initial step and closing the gap? Diabolical. What has he been doing for that step anyway except pining in silence?

Also why is everyone so hard on blondie and how he needs more time? Yes he needs more than 12 years cause those 12 years were 12 years of friendship without any hint of anything more from Seojoon either and, as I said, if his mind deems it a fruitless useless thought he'll just never cross that territory even with a thought. Breaching it would mean inviting more unwanted and unsolicited thoughts that could threaten their friendship. Those 2 months are 2 months thinking from a different perspective and finally allowing himself to process the attachment he has for him without the desperation of being unable to reach or find him. It sounds reasonable and that's honestly what he's owed for suddenly being given an ultimatum without any prior hints or notices then ghosted after 12 years of presumed friendship.

On the other hand I understand Seojoon's pain and how the extra time is cruel from his pov, and how he might feel hurt with a touch of entitlement to his own emotions and what their relationship means based on his own hurt feelings. He's scarred, yes, and very hurt, so I get why he'd lash out like that and say 12 years and you never once closed that gap, but i hope he realizes that for 12 years he never closed it either. Having feelings for a secret crush on someone doesn't give you the right to start testing them in an imaginary trial that they have no idea about.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk

Look, I get where you're coming from, and as annoying as I find the blond guy, I don't think he should be shunned either for asking for some time, however. I think it's selfish to want to cling to a relationship with someone who's unwilling to continue that relationship and refusing to let them move on, which is what's happening here. I do think Seojoon should have given the blond some grace and time to process things and his feelings, but he's not even asking for a relationship, he knows the blond doesn't harbor the same feelings he does, so he confessed, and moved on. The blond is the one who suggested starting a relationship halfheartedly so he doesn't have to let go, while Seojoon just exited a relationship he's no longer happy with, perhaps not in the best way he could have chosen to, buy he's also flawed, he feels like he already did his job at helping the one he loves reach the natural conclusion of his own first love, so he can now make a clean cut. I also view his line of blondie not having closed the gap for 12 years more of a "you didn't fall in love with me or had any interest in me romantically in 12 years, you're not going to develop those feelings for me in two months".

And yeah, the blond is kind of dense, he obviously likes Seojoon to some extent and hasn't realized it and that's why he's so adamant on bringing him back (and further more, he really valued Seojoon's friendship and companionship), but Seojoon doesn't know that. To him, blondie is throwing a temper tantrum over him choosing to leave because Seojoon's presence at his side had been a comfort for blondie throughout his career and now he's gone. In earlier chapters we see blondie admit he doesn't know Seojoon as well as he thought he did, because Seojoon did so much to accommodate him and knew his every quirk and he felt so comfortable in that dynamic that he didn't bother to get to know Seojoon better.

So, to be honest, I feel like both are having valid crashing outs haha. I feel like I'm rambling, so in summary this comment was about how Seojoon didn't intend on giving him any ultimatums or demanding a relationship, he just wanted to get out of a situation where he wasn't happy, which I don't think is a sin either.

I agree with your opinion about the 2 months time he needed now. It kinda makes sense.

But i dont find the blonde annoying. I get his feeling for desperation because his best friend suddenly disappeared and Seojoon's sudden disappearance was also selfish of him. Seojoon should have just quit as secretary and still stayed as his friend. One that he can still contact and is not living together with him. Not completely cut him off.
But i do think that blondie should have let him move on. If within those 12yrs he didn’t fall for him naturally like how Seojoon did and after Seojoon left him for idk months?and he still doesn’t like him then I did he really doesn’t think of Seojoon like that. Falling for Seojoon now will feel forced. Its like "now u like cuz im gone?"

Seojoon wasn't testing him when he left blondie. I think he completely gave up. Because within those 12 years he realized that blondie will never look at him like that. He realized how pathetic he was and need to completely forget about him. I don't think he can move on if that guys is within his sight.
