I say Ido should suffer not because of the situation but because how he approached Seijin in the 2nd timeline. When Seijin didn’t have his memories of the first timeline Ido one way or another hurt Seijin. Seijin didn’t even know why Ido was acting like this and Ido one sidedly decided to break off the engagement which was very bitch move after showing Seijin the love he deserved. To him if feels like abandonment.
So ya, all is good but Ido still hurt Seijin because of his so called love and trauma.
Doesn’t change that he still hurt Seijin by taking wrong approach. There were gillions of options he could have taken but he took the wrong approach by giving Seijin taste of sweetness thn bam "Lets call off the engagement." That was wrong of him. And he is the one who choose those sufferings on him. He was selfish in the 1st timeline and even 2nd timeline. He wanted to get rid of his guilt and evetually thought of killing himself without caring about his bond with Seijin when he perfectly knows that how it feels when the bonded partner dies. He was and is selfish. And you can't change the truth by tagging him as "suffered enough".

To those saying Ido needed to suffer more...he did. He suffered way more than what has already been shown, and his POV from the first and 2nd timeline were all shown in the side stories of the original novel. But it's not a trauma competition between him and Sejin. Honestly, they both suffered so much that they deserve this happiness, and that it's finally here. Ido has been a jerk, but he makes up for it for the rest of his life, and Sejin loves him enough to give him that chance.
