He noticed Jihan was mulling over what happened with the other dude and was worried about him, he'd rather give Jihan a chance to properly say goodbye than to keep what he found out to himself, why? Because he knew Jihan wouldn't stop beating himself over the way things ended with the other dude. Not because he still has romantic feelings for him but after being with someone for a long time, properly saying goodbye is the best way to have closure and that's exactly what Heeseop needs Jihan to have.
