My heart broke into pieces for them. All they had to do in their first lifetime was talk things through, but they didn’t. Both were consumed by arrogance and pride. They clearly fell for each other from their very first meeting, yet their pride stopped them from expressing their true feelings, and in the end, they both suffered. One used a stand-in as his wife, someone who looked exactly like his love, while the other resorted to the worst methods to deal with his jealousy.
In the end, their actions not only cost two innocent lives, Rapiel and the unborn child, but also their own lives. One died a painful death after enduring immense suffering, while the other lived a miserable, empty life until the very end. For me, they were both equally responsible for what happened in their 1st lifetime, which is why I’m so happy to see them finally find happiness in their 2nd.
BTW I really love the author for giving them another chance. As reader, I was finally able to smile after the heartbreaking ending of the first one. This is how a story should be built ヾ(☆▽☆)
Aeroc was physically abused as a youth by his father to not show emotions so his pride was groomed into him, not really by choice. I also don't agree they're equal in intent, nowhere near actually. but I do hope they get a good timeline eventually
