Yes!! Never once he want Seojoon more than friends! Isn't that enough to prove Joan has no romantic feelings? He didn't want to hold Seojoon's hand, look him in the eye, kiss him. He just want Seojoon's existence because since long ago Seojoon always there. There are many intimate feeling without it supposed to be romantic.
Honestly, if Joan later say he like Seojoon in romantic way, it will be more likely because he force his perspective to love Seojoon so Seojoon won't leave his side ever again. I wonder how will the author convince readers if Joan truly love Seojoon.
