Seojoon alone who's blushing and having a moment.

Never once he want Seojoon more than friends! Isn't that enough to prove Joan has no romantic feelings? He didn't want to hold Seojoon's hand, look him in the eye, kiss him, hold him. Physically and spiritually want him, never! He just want Seojoon's existence because since long ago Seojoon always there. There are many closeness feelings without it supposed to be romantic. And that's fine! For Joan part, he's not obligated to like Seojoon back. The only problem here, he forced Seojoon to keep staying by his side.

It could be Seojoon's part of fault to immediately run away after confessing. But what do you expect? You seriously still want to stay with your unrequited crush? What kind of self torture is that.

So, Seajoon want to be free from a suffocating unrequited love and Joan having no romantic feelings towards Seajoon are all valid feelings. It's better for them to move on and walk on different relationship instead of being lovers, which clearly that's what the author intended to.

Honestly, after seeing their relationship dynamic, if Joan later say he likes Seojoon in romantic way, that will be more likely to bee seen as he forced his perspective to love Seojoon so Seojoon won't leave his side ever again. Clearly Joan just comfortable having Seajoon as his close friend not a potential lover. To change that because Seajoon now confessed and Joan didn't want him to leave, feels like a forced romance in Joan part. I wonder how will the author convince readers if Joan truly love Seojoon not because he didn't want him to leave, but purely wanted him as a whole person in romantic way.

Rather that, I wish they can move on, be mature enough to accept, continue their relationship as the best friend they're. They can meet other lovers that properly reciprocated their feelings and build a warm love nest.
