Idgi... why kill mutants when there's a chance they have incredible talents that they can be trained for? Like MC is literally an example. If they're dangerous, then just at least find a way to limit their powers? Is the military too scared to handle them, when they literally honed the espers into killing machines? Lol
I hope this part was fleshed out more cus them just deciding to kill MC is meh - but for the plot ig..

i think they explained already that training a mutant is expensive and time costly. it’s easy for them to train awakened people because they can determine awakened and normal people at birth. training people from birth is easier, shaping their mind, educating them, making them believe on certain rules and regulations, yada yada yada. in contrast, when normal people lived their whole life normally and suddenly have to live like an awakened, it’s hard because the awakened’s morals go against theirs. that’s why it was so hard for jaejin and wuiwu to understand each other because what jaejin thought is wrong, is not wrong for wuiwu and vice versa. it’s typical for people with bigger power or should i say with political interests to choose to get rid of something troublesome instead of investing in it. it sucks but that’s just the way it is for higher ups. they only care about the bigger picture
