so many problems imo could have been solved if they aged up raejun and had him be a college student and not a mfing minor ik it makes more sense for high school teachers to be so hands on and involved, but as if teacher/student wasnt already icky they just had to make ml a CHILD
and it sucks bc they're so cute too ): IF ANYTHING at least a timeskip shouldve happened like....20 chps ago. raejun is such a yearner i love my son....knows what he wants and is a sprinkle of yandere but also a puppy <3 he has so many iconic lines and i think the author did a really good job making every character nuanced.
even the villain raejun's mother u sympathize with, although its no excuse for how abusive a parent she's been, seeing what she went through in her youth and her putting those ballet shoes back on made me so....happysad. like ofc she's still a terrible mother and shoulve never been one lmao but she was a hustler and she worked for everything she got. the misogyny that goes into women being unable to continue their passion after having children, or being undesirable as they get older brings forth empathy too. so...hate her as a mother and still think she needs intensive therapy and probably admission to a rehab hospital (and i would understand if BOTH her sons wanted to go no contact), and it would be so easy to write her off as evil - and to an extent she is, but she's also a hurt individual with her own trauma and pain, that she unfortunately took out on her children. just a tragic story.
even with jihyo, while she may be annoying and immature at times - she's a teenage girl. she's bound to be. she's also an insanely hardworker and u feel for her financial struggles and lack of parental support. i think she does have genuine feelings for raejun, but she also underestimates just how much she loves ballet and doesn't need raejun in order to be happy or successful.
ngl the only unlikable character is hanbin LMAOOO he's so wishy washy and just blegh.....u can tell he just wants woori to be an option for him. read the latest updates on naver and he's still a kind boyfriend, but idk everything just gives me the ick. from how he treats woori when hes obv not over his ex, to how he feels the need to fight raejun a literal teenage boy just cringe. author designed him cute for nothing.
i really loved this and marathoned all 60 chps in a day, just wish the age gap issue wasn't w a fawking minor like why couldnt he be 25 and her 30? or at least make him 20 my gawd the size diff and how much i love my son can't outweigh the ick i feel every time i remember the teacher/minor student reality
