the story and romance/sexual is explored as adults, while the first few chapters was the backstory, with child prince, for world building, especially considering the suggested marriage with a princess in the present time, seems the feelings from the past are more aligned parental instinct for the adult while the child was childish infatuation turned real as an adult, so not too bad tbh… but if you don’t want to continue, that’s valid, i totally understand/respect your feelings, and you shouldn’t be shamed for them as it is a valid criticism, because regardless of my love for BWAT, i still avoid some of their works, such as miscrents and mayhem, but the rest I’ve read, so check out their other works, as although age gaps may be present, it is much more flexible such as a 100+ fantasy race (vampires, werewolves, dragons, etc.) and human, childhood friends, etc, and not as worst as the responses make it to be, trust :)
I forgot which chapter mentioned it but Tei was in his early 20s while Shuaka was 13, I think around 9 year gap? Compared to other works, this one is still okay though.
They weren't that lovey dovey or anything when Tei stayed there, it feels more like fond towards a younger brother, while Shuaka met someone as both have greater experiences as well as someone that he need to protect because of his position.

I love BWAT but there’s no way this age difference is okay with everyone I feel like I’m really struggling to overlook it. But the visuals are so so so good
