I'd hate it if Lily, the real mate, really turns out to be Eve's mother in her past life. But, I think this is one of those weird time paradox situations where it was actually Eve all along. It's all playing out as it should be wherein she pretended to be "Lily" but she's actually Eve. If not... it would be so weird since obviously Eve will end up with the ML. Imagine your mother having history with your lover in their past lives
