their relationship started with the mc’s dad having a debt to taegu. this was always a relationship with the mc having a disadvantageous position to taegu. taegu took mc in, and then proceeded to have feelings for him. he knew mc well before he was an adult. i can’t believe yall actually be saying bs with “ruining a platonic relationship” “he was a parental figure”. he was nothing.
yeongwoon was financially relying on him, emotionally dependent on him, and taegu could easily overpower him. this was always a dynamic where taegu could easily take advantage of him, and he did.
