While I never thought of him as a potential father figure for our mc, the fact that he's been there since the mc was a minor and played the roll of a guardian until he grew up I would expect that he wouldn't and shouldn't try to fuck the same kid he took care of for years. He knows the kid is a mess therefore as the adult he should act like a guide not some potential lover.I think the father figure thing makes sense as he is not only presented as a second ml but also the mc's guardian growing up and maybe in a better world he would've become just a father figure and not a pedo groomer.
Not to be like this but you cannot convince me that you weren’t able to make a conjecture that Taegu has feelings for Yeonwoon just based on the contextual clues dropped throughout the story. Taegu was never going to be some paternal benevolent figure. He was always introduced as a potential “other”… He doesn’t only hate Seoin because of the incident with his family but also because he seems him as a rival and that has been apparent since he knew of Seoin’s existence in Yeongwoon current adult life. This isn’t some “:O I Never Would Have Thought” moment. The author has been alluding to it all along. You had just convinced yourself otherwise.
