Because i thought he's just trying to make a plan before and I really thought that those feelings are just temporary, especially he really didn't want to be with the top at the first place after all. you’re right, i’m pretty sure the whole plot was that he WAS just faking his feelings to fool the ml and then try kill him, but he eventually ended up ACTUALLY falling for him.
