The first new chapter leaves out content from the novel. After their doctor visit, they go to the sushi restaurant and run into the ML’s parents. As we know, the MC and ML’s mothers have been besties since middle school, and they had the boys around the same time. We get some background from the ML’s mother’s inner monologue on how they grew up together. I wish they have kept that in since this story already lacks context and is rushed enough.
(We also find out that the ML’s father wasn’t really happy about the ML’s marriage to the MC, but with the baby there was nothing he could really say. Lol Not as if the ML would listen anyway. He’s obsessed af. The ML’s mother has always loved the MC, though, so she’s happy about their union.)
