Should I pick this back up?

Chat, I left this when the MC got captured by the piece of shit ML(may he burn in eternal torture) and the brother fell down the bridge, I was sooooo fucking angry because aint no way we were gonna come back from the bullshit to being happy and in love, I’m genuinely hoping one of them dies at least but ik the rape/Stockholm syndrome/I blush and forgive you arch is strong in yaoi, what would you suggest should I keep this dropped? Or is there significant character development/great writing and plot going on?
