I only read up to the part where the mistress demanded to get adopted. She is beyond annoying and mannerless that it's actually curious how she survived to even reach that age. Her audacity and nerve to face and trample on the imperial family tell me that she did more heinous deeds throughout her life, so with her being untitled and a mere baron's daughter, I really don't understand how she got there. Anyway, I think that the plot was great, but the execution was poor. So many people hating on the ML and the romance angle of the story (I understand why now), but I'm still curious about some of the specifics.
Like who can tell me some more of the disgusting acts of the mistress and how she ends up, why is the ML so useless, and how the empress fell for him (had a mistress, useless, used to be her sister's husband, etc.) Thanks in advance.
