Yeah gotta admit that’s quite the convenient bit for the author. Like imo lazy. A better scene would be her telling her parents and then *still* somehow finding her at fault. That would be a major betrayal. If, in fact, a scene were to come up where her Dad or Mom found her in town at in her local cafe or whatever bummed out but had a bit of time to cool off… and she discloses that dohyun slept with another woman, fathered a child with them and completely abandoned her (bc let’s be real the fact that he isn’t the bio dad is irrelevant atp—the betrayal was in his choices and ge already made them)… if she told her parents all of that and they still *somehow* made her responsible for his affair and running away—well that would be the ultimate breakdown of that relationship and would be a lot more emotional. Just my humble non-writer opinion lol
I agree lol. id be pissed awf if they think it's still her fault for losing a 'perfect guy' like him despite knowing he's an asshole who hurt, betrayed and ghosted their child. like that would make much more sense in her part to feel anguish towards her parents for siding with that guy. tho, her parents are still shit for not supporting her writer dreams but the dohyun bit would easily glossed over if she just communicated or told her situation cuz he's just not worth it

am I the only one who thinks if she just said that dohyun cheated the parents wouldn't react that way like...? idk maybe just me.
