I really don’t like how the author has ruined Eunhyuk’s character. I really, really, really liked him in season one and was always rooting for him in season one. Call me delusional and crazy, but I still am rooting for him and Sooae despite how much yall hate him. It just doesn’t make sense to me to develop his character so well for 100 chapters and just throw it away for her to be with Dohwa. I’m sorry, but that just so stupid. And If that’s the case why fucking bother with the stupid fucking high school arc. If the author planned for her to end up with Dohwa in the end what is the fucking point of such a long and drawn out love triangle? My annoyance with a story has never been so high. And with all due respect, I think Dohwa deserves better because at this point he’s accepting scraps from someone who is clearly not over her ex. I also don’t want to see a dating arc with her and Dohwa unless the author actually makes her end up with Dohwa. (Which at that point I wouldn’t even read it, but still.) but again back to my point. Why even build up so much with Eunhyuk if that’s the case. Why waste so much time. Why? What’s the point? Is Dohwa supposed to symbolize a new beginning? Gtfo with that shit. After so much symbolism you had with Eunhyuk and Sooae? The red string of fate, the four leaf clover, the yellow umbrella… Even the SHOES! (In Korean culture, giving shoes to your partner is negative symbolism. So, the fact he wasn’t able to give his shoes to Sooae is a good thing) all of that symbolism meant nothing?
As distasteful as this comment may come across to many, I still ship Eunhyuk and Sooae. Really nothing can convince me otherwise. I hope he doesn’t turn out to be irredeemable because he has shown, at least in the past, that he’s a good person. And I want to believe the author can still redeem him, despite how “foolish” that may sound. Like you’re telling me all the art posted with Eunhyuk insinuating he was end game…. And he isn’t endgame…? Why ruin his character like this? This story used to be so good and compelling but right now I don’t even know what to think and I may drop it until it’s complete. I think that’s what I’ll do.
