I kinda think Bada, unbeknownst to himself obv, is the killer and the npc knows it and that's why he's hiding. And one day they're gonna kill the killer and reveal it to be like a version of Bada in front of this Bada, and that will be the next big twist. Might not make a lot of sense, but in my mind it kinda does lol.
