This story isn’t good. It’s barely mediocre at best and that is being generous with my 2-star rating. This story’s author was in badly need of a good friend or an editor to stay: “Stop!! Where are you going with this plotline; it doesn't make sense!! It’s time to relax, brainstorm, and rewrite!!”
My issues:
1. ML: How is he a tyrant?? He’s not out there randomly killing commoners or nobles. Yes, he used his wedding day to take down rebellion, but that’s not exactly tyrant behavior. Heck, he didn’t even put an end to his Empress when he learned about her many bedmates. Instead, he focused on rooting out traitors and expanding his kingdom. No tyrant behavior to be found.
2. Antagonist 1: What was the Duke’s reason for wanting the throne?? Other than the obvious reason of having more power. Did he seek the throne just because of a throw-away comment uttered by the Empress?? Was there an abandoned idea where he was in love with the Empress and that’s why his lover looked similar to the OGFL?? The kingdom isn’t suffering under poor leadership, so I don’t understand his obsession for wanting to take the throne. He and the ML are not even half-brothers!!
3. FL: My main issue with this story: what is her reason to be isekai’d here?? To be a willing hole for the ML to fully and lustily awaken his divine beast?? Inform him about an oasis in the desert?? Seriously!! She does nothing in the first half of the story other than try to not be killed by the Emperor. Understandable. But she doesn’t do anything else. The FL main focus once taking over the body was to be nice to the palace maids and tell all the palace men and noblemen, she was no longer looking for bedwarmers. Her life as a fallen woman was over. She has modesty now. *teehee* Oh, and she cancelled a beefcake pageant. *blushes* GAG!! What is the true reason for the FL to take the place of the OGFL?? She doesn’t change the commoner’s perception of her, she doesn’t meet with other noblewomen of the kingdom (tea parties or salons), she doesn’t manage the castle (budget, maintenance, servants), and she doesn’t exhibit any fantastical big-brain genius moments. This story would have been so much better if it had been the OGFL who learned what was going to happen in the future and set out to change her destiny. This new FL is totally useless!! She’s just a pretty "virginal" hole for the ML!! (I said it and I’m not taking it back!!)
