honestly i like this a lot more than the original ending. the original was a lot more bleak and hopeless and no matter what he did to fight and crawl his way out, it was all set up to break him to begin with. here, its like he has a shot at surviving. don’t get me wrong it might still be a miserable ending, especially with that lunatic attached to him, but he’s much less pathetic and sad to watch.
(side note: i wonder if the author wrote this AU and paired him with the pretty boy because he was a fan favorite in terms of looks? lol. also i love old, hairy hojoong but that dream the coach had of a more clean shaven, younger hojoong had me desperate to see more )
