God, he grew into a fine man, there's a great fragility for someone who clearly became very tainted by violence from a young age. BTW, if anyone is wondering, nothing ever happens, not even feelings, happens while the prince is a kid. They were a knight and his little sun, just that, they spend 3 years together and our MC is very much just a caretaker who loved the kid as a kid and nothing else (although the tiny prince certainly already romanticized it all, like kids do). In the 8th chapter the prince comes back as an adult, which is interesting, considering we are told people with the eye, like him, could not leave the country, much to ponder. Also, this author tends to focus on plot, rather than smut.
