40+ chapters in and there's like, no development between the canon couple, it even feels like it's going in reverse. Like the ml has shown active unsubtle interest, even allows her talk freely to him, but MC acts like he just started this shit yesterday. And because she barely has 2 braincells to rub together she doesn't think to do anything about it. Like doesn't even voice or subtly imply she only wants to be a maid
It's not impossible to write a "side character" as the mc and give them relevancy to the plot, but it is if she refuses to contribute at all!!
And it's fine if she doesn't want to contribute, but without that this is just a story of a boring maid with nothing to worry about than pissing off her master
Plus there's no balance between the "romance" and the OG story plot. Like it's bard romance for a couple of chapters than bam, random plot event with the other characters. We need more focus on the little sister cause she actually pushes the fucking plot
