So this chapter mostly deals with Scott and his issues, so it flashbacks to around the end of last season. He moved in with Martin and his family cus Martin is determined to take responsibility for that baby. He goes visits his mom in jail to let her know he’s pregnant and the mom tells him that kids are a curse. If I’m honest, I could do without the whole pregnancy subplot. I don’t care for babies, and I don’t really care for Scott’s character either, but anyway, since it’s here and it happened, I think the author is doing a good job of dealing with such a cliché.
So later in the chapter we meet Scott’s uncle who gives Martin a bad vibe, so he asked Brett to dig up some dirt of the uncle and it seems like Scott’s uncle is after his inheritance, which of course, Scott doesn’t take nicely. He doesn’t want to believe it and throws a hissy fit because in his opinion they’re talking shin about the only family he has that cares for him. Martin calls him out on his neediness ans tells him anyone will do as long as they fill his emotional void. I think that’s what this baby means to him. Someone who’ll “love” him unconditionally.
Anyway, chapter ends.
Oh yeah, it seems like Brett’s brother and Martin’s sister are an item now.
