solid work

i really like how the mc isnt helpless. there arent any situations where she requires a 'knight in shining armor' to save her. shes rational, thoughtful, and the new side we're seeing of her is interesting

i agree w/ what someone else said, that almost all the other characters in the story are thought out well. they make reappearances and they contribute to the mc's success not in a white-knight way but like guidance (ex. the etiquette granny)

i was a little surprised that some people find it boring. but i can see since the story doesnt have a constant antagonist or drama or romance in every chapter, this can be hard to read for ppl who arent used to it.
i like the counseling/childcare-ish aspect of it and tbh imo the pacing is more interesting than a villainess constantly poisoning, humiliating, harassing, plotting against a mc day after day

as for the romance, agreed that its forced and lackluster to the story so far. the mc is a brilliant, capable woman and the ml is just a guy like lol GASP hes secretly the duke of the east!!! ... okay? the "selling point" of the romance so far is that theyre a romeo-juliet west-vs-east trope but even then, the only thing holding them back is politics
so far as someone else said, theres no connection between him and her. just mc being sick as hell aurafarming and him taking an interest and yet thats enough for him to be so territorial? we'll see how the story unfolds but i do hope they have at least some interesting connection other than awe or sympathy

personally, i think it wouldve been nice to have a bold ml to match mc's calculative, independent woman vibe. open abt his yearning instead of behind-the-scenes barking and whining abt other men showing interest in her. (that wouldnt work w/ this plot tho ofc, just if the ml was a diff charc than eastern duke)

but at the end of the day, its shoujo so mightve had to be this way ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
