THIS!!! I much prefer love to sex rather than sex to love. I want them to genuinely like and desire each other BEFORE the smut starts. I find it so much more satisfying than getting slapped with smut the second I start a story and wait for them to fall in love while they continue fucking. I mean nothing wrong if that's some people's preference but, why are they almost all like that?? It's not even that I prefer shounen ai, I like mature scenes, I just like it better when it's MORE than just mindless smut
