Some of the hate comments made me realize how true the saying that”no matter how many good things you do, people will always focus on your mistakes” Yes, what she did in the past was wrong and is unforgivable, but when she was given a second chance, she chose to take it and redeem herself. In my opinion, admitting ones mistakes and making the effort to change is one of the hardest things do.And besides why do people keep on focusing in the past when it has already happened and cannot be changed? Instead of focusing on her past mistakes, why not appreciate the effort she is making in the present to ensure that those mistakes will not happen again?

I don’t fully understand why the lydia receives this much hate. I am not justifying her past actions, because what she did was definitely wrong especially for someone who calls herself a mother. However, I think many people judge her only at face value and fail to consider the deeper context . From my perspective, her actions in her first life were driven by loneliness, poverty, and betrayal, which blinded her to the presence of the one person who truly cared for her(her daughter). Just imagine being trapped in poverty, trusting a man who promised you the life that you dreamed of, only to be abused, abandoned, and left with his debts in that situation, it’s understandable how someone might believe that power is the only way to survive and avoid suffering. It was only when her daughter showed her unconditional love and sacrificed herself that she finally realized the weight of her mistakes and understood that life is not solely about power. For me,while her past actions is unjustifiable and simply wrong, but it is still admirable that she is willing to recognize her faults and change everything for the sake of her daughter.
