i stopped reading this a while back to let it marinate but damn by the comments things got worse some people saying "you can't come back from this" naw see that's where Forced Happy Ending happens where the author conveniently forgets all the trauma one character put another through for 100 chapters just so they can end it and stop writing i give you Even If You Don't Love Me and a thousand others of these same stories i really, really, really, really doubt the mc will escape and atp even if ml somehow miraciously stops being a piece of shit the only thing he could do that would make sense is leave. no amount of apology or groveling would realistically make it balance out. so prepare for an unsatisfying happy ending cuz that's how these always go
