My favorite show finally continues... The dynamic these two have and the character depth - absolute cinema!
Brett is starting to feel things he's not used to feeling, the oh so intangible attachments while grasping at the straws that are his usual behavioral patterns by trying to buy what can't be bought. (I knew he was attached the moment he explained to Hayden how he wanted to protect him in his own twisted way through retribution and revenge; he gave him the 'dead goose' in that moment) He's more aware of it though. 'Teach me', this sounds almost too good to be true, like bait, but not just for Hayden, I think Brett wants to start believing in the theatre magic of pretend... fake it till you make it?? <3
Hayden wants this, but he also knows, just like in the winter market scene at the mall, that it's all a stage that's supposed to make you feel something, but that something might disappear the moment the lights go off. I'm looking forward to seeing a more drastic character development in him. He has his own gaze almost, like he's trying to see through Brett, but can't realize his judgement is clouded because he's putting him on a pedestal. Brett knows he's put on a pedestal though, he knows he's the prize, and I think he enjoys it deep down, despite trying to appeal unbothered and full of tight emotional boundaries. Gosh, the moments feelings start to get involved in reciprocation, the dialogue, the sex, it's gonna be A MASTERPIECE to witness. Oooor we might get a lot of angst and unresolved trauma turned co dependent, messy situationship... I'm here for the rideee
