i’m ngl i’m really sad that the story has gone this way. i know it’s based on a novel that it has to adhere to but the story before this nonstop rape arc was absolutely captivating, ntm i was genuinely rooting for taekjoo and zhenya to become a couple. the buildup of sexual tension was good and they had good chemistry as a duo. i understand it’s because he has dropped the mask but now zhenya is a completely different person— i mean he hardly talks in these newer chapters, and the way he treats taekjoo is just actually disturbing and depressing to read. i don’t root for them to become a couple anymore even if there are ‘cute’ moments later on in the novel. in fact i'm rooting for taekjoo to escape and move on with his life. who the hell wants to read 10+ chapters consecutively of brutal, blatant rape?? there is nothing redeeming about zhenya aside from his looks. he’s a murderer, a deranged rapist, an animal killer ever since he was a little kid (that shit was not cute).. what exactly is supposed to be appealing about this ‘love interest’? “he constantly tried to espcape” uh yeah bro i wonder why. i am still reading because i want to see what happens but vv disappointed with the way it’s gone
