I also haven't read the novel, but I saw some spoilers. Yes, Tes and Reed are the same person, you're correct that Reed is the corrupt "version" of Tes. And yes, this is not Tes' 17th loop
OKAY. Lemme say this as I haven’t read any spoilers yet, and that, idek if this has a novel. But based from the different translations of their names, Tes/Tez/Terry/Tesilid, and Lid/Reed, I therefore THEORIZE that Reed is the corrupted Tesilid, especially with how Tes can see when what he feels or does is equivalent to the 7 deadly sin and/or the godly ones.
