The side story makes me think they’re foreshadowing something. In the side story, the old man (han seok-yu, or whatever the bitch’s name, father), plays Heeseo’s father right. And in main story he has been the one giving orders since the beginning from what we saw in the end of season two. So, I’m thinking he got Heeseo’s mother pregnant and Heeseo is his son. And to cover up the whole thing, he had his daughter eliminate the whole orphanage from his history. So he could maintain his empire without nothing ruining it. Heeseo’s mother was a mistake and the old man probably never wanted her to come out and say that he got her pregnant or demand something for her bastard son (Heeseo). That’s why the whole killing of the people in the orphanage started. And since Han seokyu was friends with her and was involved in the orphanage, he probably blamed her with some shit like “it’s your fault I met that woman. Fix this” since men like that always put the fault of their fucked up decisions in other people.
