Some people who say that what Apollo did "wasn't so bad", forget that Apollo was deliberately playing with her feelings for his amusement. He gave her attention, purposefully measured to lead her on, just to let her down, relishing on her feelings of insecurity and self hatred. All because he found it interesting that she was following her oath to Artemis, despite obviously showing attraction to him. Yes, he wasn't obligated to return her feelings, however he chose to purposely manipulate her. She was like a toy he looked down on.
After he was shot with the arrow, he fell in love with her and NOTHING more. The arrow didn't magically make him a rapist pos. He's just a prideful, selfish, egocentric Greek God like his myth counterpart, incapable of genuine love, just obsession. All of his bad actions were HIS CHOICES. He wasn't forced to commit them because of the arrow. He just believes he is owned to have whatever he desires.
