I don't think Ricky could be the son because we saw the wife living a normal life and asking her brother to pick up his son Dongmin. I think the route for this side story will be a twisted pseudo father-son relationship.
I gotta say I couldn't stomach everything happening, but the strange hilarity of the side story in the Canon story helped. Though this alternate universe makes me want to see a version of him meeting Ricky again and his reaction to what must've happened to the coach in the aftermath. Like I want the drama. ლ(´ڡ`ლ) without him getting too hurt of course (⊙…⊙ )
