I read manga to escape reality, but this one hits hard. While I hate the miscommunication troupe, I understand them both on a visceral level. As adults, we forget how to properly communicate with fellow adults. I know we say communication is the key, but no one actually understands how hard it is to properly communicate. This couple was being considerate of each other in a way that suppressed their own emotions. The lack of communication is astounding, but it is strangely realistic. It makes me realize that sometimes even when we are being considerate in our own ways, we neglect the true consideration. Sometimes what we think is the way, isn’t always the right path. Similarly, neglecting our own feelings to accommodate others will let them get used to it. The couple here was ok, they recognized the faults and decided to move forward. Real life it could go right or wrong. The point is… while communication is the key, the lock is on pretty tight.
