A lot of ppl here don't rlly care about rating and all and sometimes they're just too lazy to think of what rate to give(I am lazy when it comes to rating but not always) and some stories don't deserve even 1 star

I mean as someone that trusts my ratings more than tags and gets heartbroken bc "omg why did I rate this a 5 star when it wasn't even that good" it's an endless cycle of a nightmare....

Some things you read you're just too speechless to rate it, some sucks so bad you can't even rate it, tagging a comic is just way more efficient than using the rating system lol

it’s true, but the difference from how many ppl tagged it and how many ppl rated it is insane. it goes from 150 stars to 2300 tagging

It's probably mostly due to the fact that
    1. You can have multiple tags in a single comic
    2. You can tag a comic even if you haven't read it yet (so someone can tag it but can't rate it yet)
I haven't really been in the tags thing so I cant speak about it much tho lol, but it is mind-bogging that there are big differences in the ratings & the taggings lmao

Ooo I never thought about tags. I always rate so I know which ones I’ve read

Mangago also doesn’t list the actual amount of ppl who’ve read a story, especially for popular stories. For most stories, yes the number is accurate, but the popular ones or ones that have been here for a long time have the number of readers decreased by quite a bit. For example codename Anastasia has 313, and ik damn well there’s more than 313 people who’ve read it.

It might have something to do with the great mggo shutdown of 2021? I think the site made it so for the popular stories the number of readers is lower than it actually is so they won’t get sued? As in the author could say “there’s 9k people who’ve read my story on this site, that’s 9k people who could’ve paid for it legally”.
