also i'm loving their slow development, i think it makes a lot of sense actually. i do fully believe in mitsumi that he asked her again right there, she'd reject him. the thing is, they're both busy with their new lives, especially mitsumi. and from the start, she's a nice girl with big dreams. and she literally wouldn't be deterred for just a man. and i love that about her. her dream of helping the economy of small towns in japan, is very noble.
and shima growing a spine is a great character development. but i also think that it's still too soon for him to just magically get with mitsumi again. afterall, it is his own fault they broke up and mitsumi got hurt. i think that just because they both have feelings for each other right now, means that they should immediately get together. i think waiting is the best choice.
and that's ultimately why i love this manga so much. it is about love, but so much more than romance. their friendships and the familial love is just so sweet. i love this more than i could've ever imagined.
