Idk why it doesn't feel so rush? their relationship came way too early but so naturally at the same time that it doesn't feel force and rush. It came off as if they knew each other a life-time. MC seems to be building walls around other people but in ML there isn't any of that. He feels relax, comfortable and ML is just the best ever, i really just can't pinpoint the right word but ML is MC safe space.
