I just don't get the pure hate for no big reason for it.

This guy is the cause for his brothers rape/suicide whether he meant it or not, and still treats his brother like trash. You would think he'd have learned his lesson and treat his brother nicer after that but nothing's changed - he's still purely selfish and has a woe-is-me jealous personality. Maybe if he was less selfish he could as popular as his brother, but he doesn't get that.

If you haven't read the latest chapters, maybe that's why you still have hope for him. He continues to get worse and worse. He shows no remorse for his brother's rape and attempted suicide and continues to try to feed him to the wolves. There is nothing redeeming about his behavior. I know people can relate to his inferiority complex, but there is a lot more to him than that, and none of it is good.

Look, I am a pretty understanding and open-minded person, but I don't understand your stance. Let's lol, at the facts for starters. What has Jiwook done, and what has Jiwook not done?

He didn't directly rape his brother. True. That doesn't make him a good person. That's, ahem, fairly normal. What he has done:

-Blamed Siwon for his inferiority complex and said cruel and hurtful things to him while relishing in Siwon's pain. He even admitted that to himself, so this is not open to interpretation.

-He deliberately made Joohoon furious and then told Siwon he needed help and sent Siwon to meet Joohoon.

Let's pause for a second. This is where a lot of people defend Jiwook and say this was not an evil thing to do, it is true that he didn't know Joohoon was going to make a porno of Siwon getting gang-raped. But there are two major flaws with this logic. First, it was vividly portrayed in several chapters that Jiwook knew that Joohoon was a twisted psycho. He said that when he was angry, he was incomprehensible cruel and sadistic. He knew that Joohoon was going to do something reprehensible to Siwon. That's what he wanted. He said he was going to set Siwon up. He deliberately hurt his brother, but just didn't want to have to do it himself.

The second flaw in that logic is that Jiwook's actions after the incident speak volumes. As far as he knows, his brother then attempted suicide but survived. So what did he do when he came home? He told him he should have died and that he was embarrassed to go to school with a fucking loser brother. He got a hold of the rape video (Yeah, he saw that video, and he knows what happened) and he put it in Ahn Jaeseo's locker hoping he would blackmail "Siwon."

In the latest chapter, Jiwook is still trying to get Joohoon to "take care of Siwon." He knows that guy had his brother gang raped, but it wasn't enough. He wants him to do more. He's delighted when Joohoon says he will enjoy his "grand finale."

from the chapter I read, in here mangago - it very simple. the bro don't want to lose the place he think "he have" with the crazy guy, knowing he is crazy. and he is kind of scared of him not less from his twin taking his so called "place" in life.

the proof is the way he watch him (crazy guy) after he meet his twin.

What makes Jiwook evil is not the fact that he is jealous of his brother, though, if you want to get technical, envy is one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and sinning is evil. By definition. No, what really makes him evil is that he is deliberately hurting his brother. Did you read what I said? I don't care if Jiwook is scared of Joohoon. I don't care if he is jealous of Siwon. I care that he set him up to be destroyed by Joohoon. He did that deliberately. Siwon was raped because Jiwook set it up. Jiwook didn't feel bad about the fact that his brother was raped. Jiwook saw the video of his brother being raped and gave the video to the bullies. Reread the story if you think that didn't happen. It did. After Siwon was raped, Jiwook went out of his way yet again to set Joohoon on him. I don't care how much you want me to cry fucking waterfalls for Jiwook because people gave more compliments to Siwon. I don't care. Siwon would not have been raped if it wasn't for Jiwook. Jiwook intended for it to happen. Jiwook is doing everything he can so that Siwon will go through even more hell. Joohoon said he had something planned for him that's worse than what he has gone through so far. He's going to do something worse than rape. And Jiwook told him to hurry up and do it.

If Jiwook's actions are driven by his fear of Joohoon and he is trying to avoid him, then why did he call him up in Chapter 49 asking him to take care of his brother already?

I know a lot of people blame everyone else for their problems. Just because he does something that lots of other morons do doesn't make him any less evil.

Jiwook's intent was still for something horrible to happen to Siwon. Did he order the rape himself? No. Would he have stopped the rape if he was there, most likely not. So, by being complicit in the crime by sending Siwon, there he is just as guilty.

It's not a battle of comparing who is worse. People can still see that Jiwook is a bad guy despite him not being the person who does the dirty work.

Also, it's an insult to people who do have mental illnesses that they can't control themselves not to commit crimes. What's Jiwook did was clearly calculated. He wasn't suffering from a psychotic episode. Does he need therapy? Probably. Does his complex serve as an excuse for his crimes, no. He was in his right mind when he set off the chain of events.

Okay, I think get what you are saying now. Let's see if I can answer your question then as to why people are so upset with Jiwook when he is the mini asshole and clearly not as important, evil, or intimidating as Joohoon. I think most people, myself included, count Joohoon as the main villain, but we find ourselves really disgusted with Jiwook. The reason for that is that even though Joohoon is more horrible overall, the fact that Jiwook did and does horrible things to his brother is, in some ways, worse. To Joohoon Siwon is barely even an acquaintance, whereas to Jiwook, he is his twin brother. Betrayal from a brother is deeper and more insidious than betrayal from someone with whom you have no connection or loyalty to. Does that make sense? I agree that Jiwook is lame compared to Joohoon, and I don't think he is going to be the main villain because he's about to get annihilated by both Joohoon and Woojin. He's an idiot who is practically begging for everyone around him to kill him and put him out of his misery.
