Aw, you're so sweet! You are right, unfortunately. Some of these emoticons confuse me like that, too. It's rare to find someone who thinks about that so deeply, though. :(
A woman that was abused verbally and physically for years, is not thinking straight. A woman that believes the only way to save herself and her boy is by dying, is not mentally stable. She is ill. Hopefully irl you guys won't judge like you did just right now a manga character, because then you are not different by the neighbors or her abusive husband. Show some sympathy and even better some empathy guys. You never know what future might bring you.
