At first I was okay with the sensei rejecting students. Didn't quite liked what he said, but it fitted the purpose.
But then they show you how he was told the same thing and how it really hurt him to have his feelings and his sexuality denied and now he's doing the very same???? I stopped caring for that idiot sensei right there.

No you got it wrong. He was told the same words and then he struggled until he could come back and meet his crush as an adult. What hurt him was the way the sensei treated his old crush as an illness, asking him if he now was into girls

Right. He even knew that his crush was engaged to be married and congratulated him. I don't think he came back expecting to be accepted, but I'm sure there was a bit of hope in his heart. Then, to have his sexual identity invalidated and treated like a disease to be cured, I don't know how he kept it together. I'd have told that ass-hat to go fuck himself and that I had a lover with a 12 inch rod who plows my ass all night, every night, just to see the color drain from his douchebag face. Grrr. That scene made me mad. LOL

All teachers will have some kind of "rejection speech" for lovelorn students. I think Shirikawa said the words he was told with the hope that one day, someone would be as in love as he was and follow through like he did. Happily, he got his wish. Though, I think it would have been better for his crush to have not given him hope. If the teacher was hetero, he should have just clearly told him that he could not return his feelings because he was hetero. If you're gay and confess to someone outside of a gay bar or club, you're kind of expecting the, "Sorry, I'm straight.", answer anyway.

You are both right. I literally don't know the reason of my comment after rereading. I remember reading one were the sensei was also and alumni who had confessed to his sensei and got his sexuality denied. So when I read your comments I thought this was the story but that was not the case and I swear to god I really don't know where this came from

I've done this myself. After enough stories, they all begin to overlap and coalesce into one confusing jumble of plots. Since I already have the short-term memory of a goldfish, I often forget the details of what I read just moments ago! LOL
